Welcome to the New Jersey Science
Convention
The New Jersey Science Convention is the best
professional development opportunity in the Mid-Atlantic area for
science educators, including teachers, administrators, and student
interns. This two-day conference allows more teachers to attend at
least one day of activities without burdening the school districts with
excessive absence. Each day has up to one hundred sessions of
interest to all levels and disciplines in science, as well as over
seventy-five vendors of science books, supplies, and equipment.
The 34th annual convention will be
held
Tuesday & Wednesday, October 12th & 13th, 2010
Garden State Exhibit Center, DoubleTree Hotel & Holiday Inn, Somerset, NJ
The convention is co-sponsored
by
New Jersey Science Teachers Association and
New Jersey Science Education Leadership Association

All of the forms for registering for the Convention, making presentations, volunteering,
securing an exhibit booth, or reserving a hotel room are available in
printable formats as PDF files. You'll also find directions to help you
get to the convention site. To contact a member of the Convention
Steering Committee, click on "Contact Us" on the left menu bar.
Nearly all of the programs and activities at the Science Convention will
qualify as credit toward your 100 hours professional development
obligation. As you plan your PIP for next year don't forget to keep the
Convention in mind. You may even be able to get credit for visiting a
vendor on the convention floor, especially if you are planning to adopt a
new text, seeking new equipment, or redesigning your lab facilities. Be
sure to discuss this with your supervisor and include it in your PIP.
