Volunteers Needed!

The New Jersey Science Convention is the result of the combined efforts of several hundred volunteers. We are always in need of more people to help out. Please take the extra step to help make your Science Convention a success and sign up as a volunteer.

There are a number of areas where help is needed: Can you make a presentation at the Convention or the Post-Conference? Can you help out at the registration booth? Will you serve on the program committee and recruit others to make presentations? Can you chair a program session?

Duties of Session Chairs

Pick up session chair packet at chairs' booth in registration area
Arrive at session early - help presenter set-up, if necessary
Check to see that all workshop attendees are wearing convention badges
Introduce presenter
Monitor arrival of attendees - to insure proper sticker distribution at end of session
Limit attendees, if required
Distribute stickers at end of session to attendees with badges and who have attended the entire session
If possible, and if necessary, help presenter knock-down
Complete evaluation form
Return packet to chairs' booth
